George Harrison
George Harrison
George Harrison, the ‘Quiet Beatle’.
But there was nothing quiet about his talent, he roared! His lead guitar was the driving force in the Beatles, yet he seemed comfortable taking a backseat to the huge egos of Lennon and McCartney. George did not really care for Beatle-mania, all of the craziness that surrounded the band
George’s music was indicative of his personality, introspective, thoughtful, and laced with a belief in a higher being, as witnessed in the lyrics below. He sought peace, love, and understanding in this world. Let us hope that he has found it in the world to which he has passed.
Life Itself
You are the one, You are my love, You send the rain and bring the sun, You stand alone and speak the truth, You are the breath of life itself, oh yes you are
You are the one, You’re in my dream. I hold you there in high esteem, I need you more each step I take, You are the love in life itself, oh yes you are
You are the one, You are the one that Id die for, And you’re all that is real, You are the essence of that which We taste, touch and feel
You are the one, No matter what, You are the real love that Ive got, You are my friend and when lifes through, You are the light in death itself, oh yes are ,You are the one
They call you christ, vsnu, buddha, jehovah, Our lord. You are, govindam, bismillah, creator of all
You are the one, No matter what, You are the real love that I’ve got, You are my friend and when life’s through, You are the light in death itself, oh yes are
You are the one, You are my love, You send the rain and bring the sun, You stand alone and speak the truth, You are the breath of life itself, oh yes you are… You are the breath of life itself, oh yes you are… You are the one
Besides a decent solo career, George was also a member of The Traveling Wilbury’s. For volume 1 of their albums, his name was Nelson Wilbury.
